Beautiful und diverse botanical garden if you need some relaxing time and being away from tourist spots. However some places need to be better take care of. Since it’s maintained by an university I assume that a lack of money is the reason. Ticket is 5€ / person.
A tranquil garden with beautiful views. We visited in January - lots of beautiful greenery, and the greenhouses were full of interesting tropical plants. This is an old botanical garden, dating from the 1856 and as such has some beautiful statues and antique buildings which make this garden feel very magical. The peace, the sweet bird song, and the magnificent views really make this place special. A romantic place to visit with your loved one.
The most underwhelming botanical garden I've ever been to. It might be better in the spring (we went in September), but there are no flowers. It consists largely of a small crop garden, a lot of paths through trees and bushes, and a small greenhouse, which is the only place there are any interesting plants.
For only 5 euro you can spend some time in a quiet, beautiful green space full of trees, flowers, and butterflies. There are lovely views of the countryside over the outer city wall, plenty of benches to sit on, ponds, rock lizards, lots of signage to explain all of the plants, and more. I loved the peacefulness of it.
Beautiful park with many different plants and trees. The views are great and the shadow spots are much appreciated on a hot summer day
Never thought I’d have a bad experience at a botanical garden. As I love plants! But this garden wasn’t very well maintained, a lot of plants looked a bit worse for where. And with lots of stagnant water around we got absolutely hounded by mosquitos to the point we just decided to leave.
It's not a stunning garden as such but it's quiet and there's benches to sit, shade when it's hot. A nice place to go during the busiest times when you need to get away for a little while.
It is a nice quiet place to spend time in nature and see some amazing plants.Student ticket costs 2,5€.
